Week 75: Christmas Miracles and Tornado Threats!

Hello one and all! I hope each of you had a good week! This week was full of different adventures! It was definitely awesome! Let's get into it!

Monday we did studies and prepared for the day. After that we went to the store and got a few things for the day and contacted a little bit. Then we went on a baking spree for most of the day making cookies and that was a lot of fun. Then afterwards we contacted people and did a few things. I don't remember much but it happened. Hahaha

Tuesday was Christmas Eve and we had a lot of things going on! We did our studies and got ready for the day. After that we drove to Tupelo and had Interviews with President Hansen! It was a really good discussion I had with him! And then afterwards we drove all the way down to Starkville for District Council and had a really good discussion with them! Then after that we went caroling as a District and had an amazing time with them! Afterwards we drove back to West Point and visited a few other people and then came home for the day!

Wednesday was Christmas! We prepared for the day, had a great time at a members house and had lunch with them, and then came home and called our families for a while! Then after P-Day ended we visited some other people and came back home and ended the day!

Thursday we did studies and all that good stuff. Then we posted on Facebook and that was really good. Afterwards we went up to Houston and did a few things, sadly not too much success, but we had a little. Then we came back and sadly a lesson fell through. So after that we visited Neely and Betsy and chatted with them for a little bit. Then we ended the day there.

Friday we started off the day driving up to Okolona and started exchanges with the Zone Leaders! I was here in West Point with Elder Jorgensen. We planned for the day and then we went to the Food Pantry and did some service there for a little. After that we got called for lunch by Sister Shields, and then she took us to a Hibachi place and that was super cool. Then we came back and started finding. And then we proceeded to find 6 people! It was crazy! Elder Jorgensen took a call in the middle of it. But it was a lot of miracles! Then we had a really good lesson with someone else about the Plan of Salvation. After that we visited Neely and Betsy and had a pretty interesting conversation with them! Then we came home and ended the day!

Saturday we got ready for the day and drove up to Okolona and ended exchanges. Then we came back and I had ZLC and that was a lot of stuff. Then we did studies and headed out for a lesson. The lesson sadly fell through but we found 2 new people out of that which was awesome! Then we went to Taco Bell and reported and contacted people. Then we came back and did some Weekly Planning and then afterwards we tried visiting some people and it fell through, so we went to go get gas and while we were getting it we had to get our receipt inside, and we meet someone that had lost contact with missionaries and we got her number! It was amazing! Also during the day someone reached out to us on Facebook who was interested as well! It was a day full of miracles as well! Then we came back home and had Calls Ins and we got transfer news! Elder Judd will be going to Lonoke! And I will be picking up Elder Rich, my good Ole MTC Companion! It was definitely a surprise!

Sunday we sadly didn't have anyone at Church. After Church we went home and did our studies. Then we visited Jimmy for a little bit, and then we were on our way to have a lesson but we were graced by Tornado Sirens. Then we called our Branch President and asked about what was going on. And it turns out a tornado threatening storm was headed to West Point, so we booked it clear cross town and stayed at his house till it was clear. After that we visited a few other people that Elder Judd wanted to say bye to and then we came in for the night and had Call Ins!

I'm thankful for this season and for all the many blessing I've seen and I hope to see a lot more! I'm excited for a new adventure with Elder Rich and I'm excited to know that I have 7 more months left! I'm almost there! I love each of you!

May God be with you all, and know that I am here. I love you all!

Elder Braxton Hotton
