⚠️I will be unable to respond to emails this week, for I will be doing stuff with the Mission today. You can still email me and say hi, but I will not be able to respond till next week⚠️
So I'm going to be real here, I don't even know what to put for this week as a title, a lot has happened and I don't really don't know what I want this week's focus to be about in this email, so I'm gonna try and cram much of the stuff as possible.
So after emails last Monday, we went to the Marshall County Museum, and they have a lot of stuff. And I mean a lot, it's covered from wall to wall. It was really cool to see some Confederate flags, a Gatlin Gun, some mega old pistols, and just a whole bunch of diaries. Then after that we went to Sonic and had a drink/blast run(pic below). It was good stuff haha, then later we had dinner at Brother Roswells house and had good stuff there.
Then Tuesday we had District Council with the Zone Leaders again and we had a little fun before the sisters showed up (pic below). Then we tried visiting a few people but only ending up visiting with Sister Huckaby and we read the Book of Mormon with her. We weren't sure what to do after so we prayed and looked through our map to see, and we saw this girl who was formerly taught around the corner from us so we go to the place, and a guy answers the door. Turns out the guy just moved in with his girlfriend recently so the person we were looking for moved out. So we started talking to him and he's golden. His name is Benjamin and he's been looking for purpose and we answered a lot of his questions in the Book of Mormon which was crazy. So hopefully we can work with him more soon.
Wednesday was a struggle bus haha. So we have a program on our devices that controls what can be downloaded and all that stuff, and it was being..... Difficult. To put it nicely hahahaha. Most of our apps disappeared and we had a lesson on Facebook with Birdie who lives in Hickory Flats(Bottom Corner of our area), so we had to go to the Morrisons to borrow their laptop to do the call. And we got a Baptismal Date from it! It will be sometime in October, we don't have an exact number yet but it will be in October. After that we helped their son Jordan get a welding system going called the Arc. It was really cool and I wore a mask😂(below). Then we visited a Bible Referall who got back in town, and when we knocked, her Granddaughter answered and seemed pretty intrigued by us so maybe we can get her baptized as well. Then when she brought her grandma out, we gave her the Bible she requested and then she asked, 'What do I do next?' So we are now going to teach her! So that's exciting. But during my studies Wednesday, I came across a article in our church magizine called the Ensign. The article was called 'How Eric Learned to Trust God' and it was a really touching story, and I invite everyone to read it, and the link will be down below.
Thursday was a long day. Brother Roswell picked us up and we went to South Haven to help fix a Hydro Therapeutic Bed for a Chiropractor he knows. It was a pain in my rear but it took 2 hours to fix haha. Then we went to a restaurant called Back Yard Burger and that was good. Then I zonked out and here is a pic they took (pic below). Then we did studies and tried to contact people, a appointment fell though so then we went up to Gary's place and helped him count his cows. It was a cool experience to see his acres and the cows. Then we had dinner at Mockys, and tried visiting Georgia and Mike, which both fell through, but got a super mega cool sunset pic(Below). Then we were able to visit a less active named Lisa, and we just talked about life and the church which was cool.
Friday was long too. We got up at 5am and Brother Roswell picked us up to go to Early Morning Seminary. We talked about doing the right thing, and had breakfast. Then we did everything and went out to try to visit people. 2 of the people we tried to visit weren't home sadly. Then later we drove up to Byhalia again, getting ready for dinner at a members house. Then we also tried to visit a formerly taught, but when we got to the house and asked if the person lived there, the guy said 'No, bye.' and closed the door on our face. Honestly I was 80% confused at first on what he said then it clicked and I was like oh OK. Haha but yea, my first door slamming experience was interesting. Then we had dinner at the members house, had tin foil dinner, and talked about places in Utah. It was cool.
Then Saturday Elder Brinkerhoff gave me a book called 'The Fourth Nephite Effect'. For those who are curious, it's basically saying yes we have the 3 Nephite still here today, but there is always a Fourth Nephite and that can be anyone. It is a small book but it is amazing. I invite anyone who want to know about it to get it. Then we had lunch at Sonic, then went to a less active Sisters house and she shared her cake that she made it was really good. Then we went to Byhalia where we got a ride to Walnut Grove to see the Adult Session of Stake Conference. It was really freaking good and the notes will be below and please read it. I can promise it can help or enlighten you in any way. Even Sunday Mornings session. Then we had Ice Cream and came back home.
Sunday we had the morning Stake Conference session and we got a ride down to watch it be broadcasted in Oxford, it was a great Conference and it was cool to listen to the Converts testimony. And the morning PDF notes will be below, so feel free to check it out. Then we had lunch at their place after and then we came back home and figured out what will happen. We then went to have dinner at the Roswells, because our other appointment fell though. Then we came back and had Weekly Planning to figure out our direction this week.
Then Monday, we had District Council, talked about Hope, then had to get an Oil Change. And we parked and saw a circle of Mushrooms, and this was like the 3rd time we've seen something like this, so I took a pic of them. Then we wanted to get Chick-fil-A but then when we drove by, well, just look at the P.S. Below😂😂😂😂😂 it was great. So we went to Arby's, then visited Sister Huckaby and read the Book of Mormon, then we sent texts to people, and then we had Dinner at a members house and they helped us by the spirit to go to places to see if we can teach people.
All in all, just don't give up. Times are getting harder and harder, that's where we just have to fight back harder. Because we all have importance and the Lord knows that. Just do what you know is right and the Lord will bless you as you do good. Be the best Fourth Nephite you can be.
I love you all, and I always pray for you. Stay strong and push forward.
Much love,
Elder Braxton Hotton

It's 2:05, why aren't you at work?!?
