Week 51: Power Week

Hey y'all! How are y'all doing?? This week was a power week to say the least. And right now as I'm typing it is pouring rain due to the Hurricane in Louisiana and we're getting the wings that came out of it, so yay rain. But anyways, let's get into the week!

Monday we had another normal P-Day and did all that fun jazz that normal P-Day brings. And then after we had dinner at a buffet place with a member and that was pretty good stuff. After we went back up to Humboldt and found a person for the night, and then we came home.

Tuesday we had District Council in Dyersburg and we took some photos because we figured a few of us would leave due to Transfers. Afterwards we had District Lunch at another buffet place again and that was good. Then we came back and had some appointments, then we helped mow a members lawn and that was fun. Then afterwards we went up to Milan and visited a few people. Then we grabbed a good old pizza and did a few things before Come, Follow Me at the Lamprechts.

Wednesday had a lot of cool things happen. So first we start off by helping Brother Fisher out with a few things and that took the morning. Afterwards we changed over and we headed up to Trenton for a little bit. Made some attempts and they all fell through and then it started raining so we felt like we shouldn't be there. Then we drove back to Humboldt and started working around there. In the matter of like 30-60 minutes we ended up finding 4 people! 2 of them was through a young son who wanted to learn about Jesus, then we met his mom and her friend and they became new people, it was awesome! Then we had dinner at a members home and then we had Gospel Essentials Class and some members afterwards got us Frosties. So that was yummy.

Thursday was service filled. We helped out at Martha's and did a lot of cleanup in the shed still, almost done with it actually. Afterwards we tried a lesson but that fell through, then we switched back over and helped Brother Fisher out with more of the stuff he needed to do. He has this classic Coke Machine and some nifty stuff. And I also tried golfing right hand, I don't know how you rightys do it, I just don'tšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. And then they took us out ot eat. And that's about it for the day.

Friday was Elder Hunter's birthday! We walked around in Milan for half of the day and chatted with some people during it. Then afterwards we went back to Humboldt and had a lesson with someone and walked around some more and found during it. Then later we had dinner with a member and the workers sang to Elder Hunter and he got whip cream shoved in his face so that was cool. Then after we had Weekly Planning and ended it there.

Saturday we walked around Humboldt quite a bit and visited a few people. Then after we went to Milan and visited a few people as well again. Then we felt like we still had to come back to Humboldt so we did and talked to a few people and had a couple of lessons fall through but found 2 new people out of it. Then we visited a ministering family of ours and got to know them more. Afterwards we went to Angie's and had cake for Diane and Elder Hunter's birthdays (Diane's is today so that's fun). And then we got transfer news and Elder Hunter is becoming a Zone Leader in Searcy, Arkansas! And I'm getting a new companion named Elder Fealy! So I'm excited about that.

Sunday we had 4 people at Church and it was awesome! The Fishers gave some pretty good talks on the Restoration, just straight to the point honestly haha. If apparently Revelation and Miracles have ceased, then God would cease to be God. No ifs or buts, just that. Afterwards we got ready and got picked up for the Music Tribute again. And the Music Tribute went really well. I was glad to be apart of it again. I also got to see a few other people too which was really nice. And that was majority of the day really.

This week overall was super good, and definitely a lot to look forward to as well. Next week I'll be hitting my year mark so that's exciting! I thank each of you for what you have done for me, and I love you all so much! I hope you have a good week!

May God be with you all, and know that I am here. I love you all!

Week 50: Music Time

Hey y'all! How are y'all doing? This is Week 50, wow. That's weird to type out, week 50. That's insane. This week was a little slow, but nonetheless good. Let's get into it!

Monday we had a usual P-Day, and did all that stuff. After that we did some call Ins and then we drove to Friendship and started exchanges with Dyersburg and I came back to Humboldt with Elder Ferrell.

Tuesday we went all over the place, and we had some small miracles as well. We sadly didn't find a new person, but while walking around in Milan, a random guy from a Church we've talked with before gave us an apple, chips, and a juice box. And then we kept going around and then while walking back up a street a lady gave us some water bottles and we gave her a card as well. It was pretty cool. Then after a while we came back to Humboldt and had dinner with a member who just moved in at Wall Street Grill, and that was good. And after we had Bible Study with the Lamprechts. Then we came home and Elders Hunter and Ramage came down here and we ended the day by playing Clue.

Wednesday we got up and headed down to Zone Conference. We had a really good Conference and talked about a lot of stuff about studies and teaching. After Conference we drove back, got ready for Gospel Essentials, and had the class. It went pretty well and they learned a lot. That was basically the majority of the day.

Thursday was the 4th of July of course! We helped out at Marthas again, then we were about to help Sam fix his car but we didn't feel right about it, so then we got ready and tried to visit some people, and that didn't go in our favor. Then we had dinner at a members house and had some really good conversations with them and the wife's parents. It was awesome, then we went to another members home and watched a few fireworks and then came home.

Friday was a little better, we finally fixed Sam's car, and then we drove up to Milan and tried visiting people. We had an awesome discussion with Mary and a good talked with Labronski, it was a miracle really. Then afterwards we visited Jamar and Dayshawn and talked with them for a little bit, then we got rained on and we booked it. We drove down to Humboldt and had dinner at the Fishers. AD then we needed the day there.

Saturday was a very hard working day. We managed to weed out all the people that weren't really moving forward and talked to people as well. We also had a long, and also a little bold, lesson with Jamar and Dayshawn. It was a good lesson overall, but we did throw them into a loop. But hey, they still appreciate us. Then after we got in contact with Jennifer and her family, and then we came home, made pizza, and ended the day.

Sunday we only had 2 people at Church, and we talked about the Book of Acts. We were also fasting as it is the first Sunday of the month. After Church we drove home and got picked up to be taken down to Walnut Grove for the Music Tribute. We got down there and practiced, and I also practiced for my part in a quartet and reciting the First Vision. And while eating dinner, I saw the Morrison twins and they were really excited to see me. It was awesome. Then we had the Tribute and it was really good, I will somehow get the video(unless my mom did that) and share it.. I'm also still going to send a video home with me singing Peace in Christ. So yea, then after I talked to a few people and then we came home.

This week was sadly a little slow, wish it was a little faster, but we had some success in the end. But I'm thankful for the time I have to be out here and to serve, and to touch the lives of many. And I hope I have touched yours somehow. I hope you all have an awesome week!

May God be with you all, and know that I am here. I love you all!

Week 49: Temple Trip and B-Dubs!

Hey y'all! And hello to July! Wow, how time has flown! Next thing you know in 24 days will make it my year mark! I'm still trying to get a grasp on it, it's crazy! Let's get right into what's been going on!

Monday we had Zone P-Day in Bartlett! We played a lot of outdoor games from Soccer to Spike Ball to Ultimate Frisbee! It was a lot of fun to get together with the Zone and hangout. Afterwards we Blitzed Bartlett and handed out invites to our Missionary Tribute we are having in a few weeks. Then us and the Zone Leaders started exchanges and I went to Millington with Elder Dawson and we got dinner with a member at Buffalo Wild Wings and that was a lot of fun. I missed going to the good old B-Dubs. Then we came home for the day.

Tuesday was a treat as well. It was also my 11 month mark! I helped Elder Dawson with some Zone Leader work and that was honestly a lot of fun. Then after we went and did a lot of visiting people. We basically did Member cleanup for most of the day and we got lost in a National Park looking for a Frisbee Golf Course haha, but it worked out when it came to visiting other people. Then we had dinner with that member again at B-Dubs and got some Wings, and yes, I got some spicy on the higher scale of it, not Blazin, I haven't gotten courage to do it yet XD.

Wednesday we finished exchanges and we drove to Jackson for District Council. After District Council we went to Panda Express and had some good food there as usual. Afterwards we took Dyersburg back up to our apartment and they left back up to their area. Then we tried visiting a few people then we met this one lady that Diane referred to us and she seems ready for the Gospel! It's exciting! Then we had Gospel Essentials class and that was really good as well! The clouds started coming in and when the Torontos met us at Wendys the storm got real. But it was a good day!

Thursday we did service at Marthas as usual. Afterwards we came home and got ready for the rest of the day. Then we went out and visited a few people, and then we went to Jennifer's and she had to reschedule, but we said we would mow her lawn for her. Then we had dinner with Brother Fisher at a Chinese place and then we got a lawn mower and Mowed Jennifers lawn. We got most of it done and then we came home.

Friday morning we finished her lawn and we got ready for the day. We did some studies and some Weekly Planning. Then after we had a lesson fall through sadly but we were able to visit Dayshawn and her family for a little bit and that was a good visit. Afterwards we had a discussion with Jennifer and she's pretty awesome. Then we helped move a chair for a member and they took us out to eat. Then we came home and finished the day.

Saturday was a really good day. We got to go to the Temple with some of the members! (We got special permission, long story). And it was an amazing experience. I loved it so much! Afterwards we got some food with some members and then we came home. We then tried visiting some people but none of it worked out, we studied a little then we drove to a members house and had dinner with them. They're an awesome family who just moved in not too long ago. So that was fun, and then afterwards we came back home and did a few things.

Sunday we had 3 people at Church. And then after we studied a little and visited a few people again. And then we had dinner at a members house and then ended the day really.

It's crazy to see how much time has gone. And I'm thankful for all the experiences I've had so far and I hope you all are doing well. And go to the temple people, it's a wonderful experience you can never forget every time you go.

May God be with you all, and know that I am here. I love you all!
